Celebration of National Vaccination Day
The Department of Microbiology organised a scientific event to celebrate National Vaccination Day on March 16, 2024, which marked the launch of the Pulse Polio immunisation programme in 1995. During the event, the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology delivered short presentations on different vaccines available in India. Students have also prepared banners and posters to elaborate on vaccine-preventable diseases and to highlight the importance of vaccination in our lives. On this occasion, Dr. Sandipan Gupta (Dean, ACBS) and Dr. Nasib Singh (HOD, Microbiology) appreciated the hard work of the scientists and healthcare staff of the country in ensuring the vaccination of every child and emphasized the need for full immunization of every child. Dr. Divjot Kour and Dr. Hemant Dasila appreciated the untiring efforts and active involvement of the participants during the event.
