The Annual Sports Day witnessed enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students of the Department of Zoology. With a strong spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork, participants showcased their athletic skills and competitive zeal across a range of track and field events. The event featured popular athletic competitions including the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter races, as well as field events such as javelin throw, discus throw, and shotput. The faculty members of the department made a commendable mark. Dr. Preety Tomar brought pride to the department by securing the gold medal in shotput, demonstrating strength and precision. Ms. Sakshi represented the department in the discus throw, while Ms. Yankita Negi and Ms. Divya actively competed in the shotput event, contributing to the department’s dynamic presence. Ms. Vijay Bharti Sharma showcased her athletic spirit by participating in the javelin throw, adding to the overall enthusiasm of the day. The event was filled with excitement and camaraderie, and all participants enjoyed the day thoroughly.
