Educational Tour
An Educational Tour was organized by the Department of Psychology from 23/5/2022 to 27/05/2022. The tour comprised students of UG & PG students of Psychology Department accompanied by Three faculty members, Dr Neelam Kumari, Dr Yashpal Azad & Dr Deepika Negi.
In this Educational tour we visited to Chinmaya Organisation Rural Development (CORD), Norbulingka Institute, Dharmshala, & Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for handicapped (VRC), Una. Students also visited to Virast-e-Khalsa (Museum of Sikhism), Naina Devi Temple, Bilaspur, on the way to Una, Himachal Pradesh besides some tourist places in Dharamshala i.e., Cricket Stadium, Mcleod Ganj, & Bhagsu Nag. The tour was based on the theme “Discovering New Insights Through Practice” keeping in mind the opportunities for the students to explore and experience practically what they have learned in the classroom.
During this Tour students were given the opportunities to incorporating activities to make their interaction with the beneficiaries of the organisation. Students were divided into 3 groups to enable them to cover different villages of three panchayats for interaction and Practical exposure.
This educational tour helped students to know different activities done by the organisation. Beside this they get know about their culture & artists of past who were master of their fields.
It was a new, interesting and informative experience for all of us. Overall, it was a great experience.
