153rd Birth Anniversary of Sant Attar Singh Ji
On the occasion of 153rd Birth Anniversary of Sant Attar Singh Ji Mastuana Sahib Wale, The Kalgidhar Trust Baru Sahib celebrated Gurmat Samagam in his remembrance at Cheema Sahib from 10th March till 17th March.2022. The students of B.Ed. 1st year, Akal College of Education, Eternal University recited Akhand Path Sahib, roul for 6 hours in order to pay obeisance towards the great founder of Akal Academies. Along with it, they organised Nagar Kirtan from Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib and passed through various villages & road and culminated Gurdwara Janam Asthan Cheema Sahib in which B.Ed. students performed in the following events:
- The participated & recited dhaarna and shabads during the event.
- The took part in Gatka.
- They did sewa in the Mela and cleaned Gurdwara Sahib and nearby areas.
The students also went on educational & religious trip to Gurudwara Mastuana Sahib and Akal Takhat Damdama Sahib on 17th March.They also visited Akal University, Guru Ki Kashi and interacted with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof..Gurmail Singh. He shared the pearls of wisdom and guidelines how to become an effective teacher. Along with it, he gave an overview of Akal University. The students took educational round of all the departments of Akal University.
On 18th March, the students visited Anandpur Sahib and attended Holla Mohla to know its relevance in Sikh history. The Gurdwara of Anandpur Sahib was beautifully decorated. The students enjoyed kirtan,katha and Akal Takhat Jathedar Giani Raghubir Singh ji gave the message of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to all devotees. He also displayed all Pawan Nishaniyan of Guru Gobind Singh ji such as swords, arrows, shields & arms. After one week, the Students came back to Baru Sahib. It was a spiritual, wonderful, amazing & thrilling experience and fascinating adventure.
