The Department of Psychology is one of the premier departments which, right from inception in the year 2016 under the Akal College of Arts & Social Sciences has incessantly strived to inculcate the motto of scientific attitude in its students.The department of psychology has a multidimensional image in terms of excellent research and teaching and has been a leader in the region. The balance between pure and applied research has given the department a rare profile.
The department offers three programmes, B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology and Doctorate of Psychology (PhD).
The course curriculum of M.Sc. in Psychology program provides an advanced exploration of specialized areas within psychology, equipping students with in-depth knowledge and research expertise in fields such as cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, or clinical psychology. Through rigorous coursework and hands-on research experiences, students develop advanced critical thinking, analytical, and methodological skills. Students who have graduate in any stream from UGC recognized institutions with 50% marks.

  • She has successfully completed the course "Recognizing and Responding to Child Maltreatment" with a score of 90% through Prevent Child Abuse of North Carolina.
  • She Contributed poems and stories to over 50 published books and dedicated time to several non-profit organizations, including Muskurahat Foundation, NGN Foundation, and Nirdosh School for Special Children.
  • Currently she is serving as an Education Volunteer at the Mymenia Foundation in Delhi for over a year.
