M.Sc. Ag. Agronomy

The Department of Agronomy was established during the academic session 2017-2018 with the start of M.Sc. (Ag.) programme to develop skilled and efficient human resource in the field of Agronomy and to provide quality education to the girl students undertaking appropriate research on crop, resource management on sustainable basis, ways to improve and increase agricultural productivity, extend knowledge and skills to the farmers.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission

B.Sc. Agriculture/ Horticulture or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/Horticulture with minimum 50 % marks from a recognized university.

  1. In the academic session 2024-2025 Department of Agronomy has got first prize in Annual Kisan Mela of Eternal University by putting up a stall and demonstrated about the latest technologies and various sustainable ways to improve and increase agricultural productivity.
  2. Previously Department of Agronomy has got third prize in Annual Kisan Mela of Eternal University in the academic year 2023-2024.

  2. Dr. Ankit Saini has received Best Poster Presentation Award in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 in different International Conferences held at Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi and Bagalkot.
  3. He has received an Appreciation/Recognition Award in an international agriculture certificate course cum training program by Gujarat Natural Farming and Science University and Hindustan Agricultural Research Welfare Society.
  4. He was awarded Best Poster Presentation Award in 2025 by University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, Karnataka.
  5. Dr. Ankit Saini has worked as editor and edited two books entitled Emerging Trends in Agronomy and Current Trends and Advances in Agricultural Sciences. Four book proposals have been accepted by CRC Press, an international publication house.
  6. Dr. Chander Shekhar, Assistant Professor Agronomy, received Bharat Harit Kranti Award in 2023 in an International Conference.
  7. Ms. Himani Sharma, Ph.D. Scholar, received Best M.Sc. Thesis Award in 2025 from University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot, Karnataka.
