The Department of Psychology is one of the premier departments which, right from inception in the year 2016 under the Akal College of Arts & Social Sciences has incessantly strived to inculcate the motto of scientific attitude in its students.The department of psychology has a multidimensional image in terms of excellent research and teaching and has been a leader in the region. The balance between pure and applied research has given the department a rare profile. The department offers three programmes, B.Sc. (Hons.) Psychology, M.Sc. Psychology and Doctorate of Psychology (PhD). Our B.Sc. Psychology program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with a strong foundation in core psychological principles, critical thinking, and research methodologies. Through hands-on learning experiences and a focus on ethical awareness and cultural competence, students develop practical skills in communication and research, preparing them for further study or careers in diverse fields such as mental health, education, and research.
