Introduction:
The Department of Music, Eternal University Baru Sahib undertook a
spiritually enriching initiative from 24th September to 16thOctober
2025, wherein the teachers and students collectively presented a series of
Shabad Kirtan and Dhadi Vaaran performances at various Gurudwaras across
Punjab. This sacred journey was organized with the noble intention of spreading
the divine teachings of Sikh Gurus through the medium of devotional music and
storytelling. The programme served as a means of connecting people from all
walks of life with the essence of Gurbani, promoting inner peace, harmony and
faith.
Under the guidance of their dedicated teachers, the
students of the Department of Music showcased their talent, discipline, and
devotion, turning each performance into a heartfelt act of seva (selfless
service). The entire tour reflected Eternal University’s commitment to
preserving and promoting the sacred heritage of Sikh devotional music,
nurturing in the students both musical excellence and spiritual depth.
Conclusion:
The Shabad Kirtan and Dhadi Vaaran tour conducted by the
Department of Music, Eternal University Baru was a remarkable spiritual journey
filled with devotion, inspiration and learning. The performances left a deep
and lasting impression on the Sangat at every Gurudwara, where the melodious
voices and heartfelt renditions created an atmosphere of peace and divine
connection. The tour successfully achieved its purpose of spreading the message
of love, unity, humility and devotion that forms the essence of Sikh teachings.
Moreover, this experience proved to be an educational and
emotional milestone for the students, allowing them to witness firsthand the
power of music as a medium of spiritual expression. The teachers’ guidance and
the students’ dedication harmonized beautifully to make each performance a
divine offering. The warmth and appreciation received from the Sangat motivated
the participants to continue serving through music and faith.
