Objectives:
- To
familiarize students with the biodiversity of herbal plant species.
- To
enhance understanding of the role of medicinal plants in traditional
healthcare systems.
- To
provide hands-on exposure to plant identification and their ethnobotanical
uses.
Brief description: A field visit to the Herbal Garden of Eternal University was
organized for students enrolled in the AEC-1 (Environmental Science–I) course.
The activity was designed as part of the experiential learning component to
introduce students to various medicinal and aromatic plants. During the visit,
students observed different plant species, learned about their medicinal
properties, and interacted on site for practical understanding.
Outcomes of the
Program:

Students
gained practical knowledge of commonly used herbal plants.

They
understood the importance of conserving medicinal plant biodiversity.
·
The
visit strengthened their ability to identify plant species and relate them to
traditional medicinal applications.
