Introduction: An industrial visit was organized
by Akal
College of Economics, Commerce and Management (ACECM)to bridge classroom learning with
real-world experience. A group of 41 students from B.Com and BBA, guided by Dr. Pawan Kumar Dubey and Dr. Desh Raj, visited Birla Textile Millsand Cure Tech Pharma Company in Baddi. The visit, supported by Himalayan NGO and Laghu Udyog Sang, was coordinated by Shri Raneh Rana,
Ms. Dimpal Parmar, and Shri Kishor Thakur. The purpose of the visit was to
provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and management
practices, to help them understand production
processes, quality control, and safety standards, and to explore technological
applications and workforce management. It also aimed to connect academic
knowledge with industrial practices, thereby enhancing students’ professional
understanding and preparing them for future career growth.
Visit Summary:
The industrial visit to Cure Tech Pharma Company (IBN Herbals) and Birla Textile Mills offered students valuable exposure to real manufacturing environments. At Cure Tech Pharma, they observed key pharmaceutical production stages such as mixing, drying, compression, coating, and packaging. Mr. Dixit Sharma, Production Manager, explained the company’s adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality assurance systems, and the need for a sterile environment, giving students practical insight into pharmaceutical standards and compliance. At Birla Textile Mills, students witnessed the entire polyester yarn production process from PET chip processing to fabric weaving and dyeing—while understanding the importance of operational efficiency, inventory control, quality assurance, and workplace safety. The visit enhanced their analytical and observational skills, strengthened their understanding of industrial management and workflow, and helped them relate classroom concepts to practical applications. Overall, the experience enriched their professional awareness and made them more industry-ready for future careers.
