On 26th January, 2019 70th Republic Day on India was celebrated in the University. The celebration was organised at University main porch with the students , Faculty and staff with management team were present on the occasion. With the flag hosting by the Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Davinder Singh and National Anthem followed by march past by the students of NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers. In his address Dr. B.S Boparai ,Dean Academics motivated the students for the national Service with participation in NCC and NSS. Dr. Davinder Singh that every citizen can do national service by voluntarily adopting one students who is not capable of investing money for the studies. The service to the Nation can be done in any form economic, political or social.The atmosphere was made a patriotic by the students of Music department.In the end sweats were distributed to the students.
