Course Overview

Doctor of Philosophy or Ph.D. (Physics) is a 3 year doctorate course program which can be attained by students of M.Sc.(Physics) and M.Sc.(Hons.)Physics or an equivalent degree. This course program considered as an ideal degree for the students those are lovers of Physics and its associated advance fields such as material science, optoelectronics, renewable energy etc. and want to pursue a full-time independent research which train them with expertise knowledge and research skills.

The Ph.D. (Physics) course program consists of research oriented subjects such as Research Methodology, Advanced Nano Physics, Advanced Condensed Matter Physics, Advanced Quantum Mechanics, Advanced Material Science, Advanced Computational Physics, and Advanced Optoelectronics those are rich theoretically as well as practically. Moreover, the technologies and products based on these subjects are commercially available in the market. Students are required to review the latest updates going on in the field of technological advances. The applicability of physics and technology are being coupled together for many scientific breakthroughs. Moreover, with the progress of science, the environmental concern is very important so the department is involved in synthesis of different eco-friendly materials for various applications and more focused on green technologies.

M.Sc. Physics or M.Sc. (Hons) Physics or M.Sc. in relevant discipline (i.e. Nanotechnology, Material Science and Renewable Energy etc.) with minimum55% marks from a recognized university and 50% marks in Eternal University entrance test.
