The Department of Zoology at Eternal University is one of the pioneer Department of this University since 2016. The Department has core strength of faculty members trained in advanced scientific biological research at institutes of national/international repute.
The renewed focus of the department presently involves Parasitology, Nematology, Entomology, Fish Biology, Ornithology and Cytogenetics. The faculty members are committed to develop Science and Technology solutions for the world by bringing together multidisciplinary researchers and creating world-class approaches for scientific discoveries. Department has successfully produced 08 batches of M.Sc. (Zoology) with thesis up to session 2023-24 and 06 Ph.D. students (01 awarded and 05 pursuing).
Department received Research grants from various agencies like Department of Science and Technology (DST), National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH) CAFRI NABARD project, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).
Our students also received prestigious fellowship, Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) by DST. The faculty members have received distinctions and honour like Outstanding Teacher Award and Best Researcher Award. The research scholars have also been awarded with several awards. Faculty members of the Department have published more than 100 research articles with high impact factor in Scopus and other Journals of National and International repute. Extension activities such as farmers training programmes, demonstrations, workshops etc. are organized for the upliftment of socio-economic status of local farmers.
