HOW TO DEVELOP BONSAI?
A one day workshop on ‘How to Develop Bonsai?’ has been successfully conducted at the department of Botany, Eternal University, Baru Sahib (H.P.) on Thursday (September 11, 2021). Invited recourse person Dr. Bhaskar Chaurasia (Department of Rural Technology and Social Development, Guru Ghasidas Central University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh) delivered a lecture and hand-on practical demonstration in two separate sessions on Managing Bonsai. Participants (students, research scholars and faculty) from different universities and colleges (e.g. Panjab University Chandigarh, Punjabi University Patiala, KMV Jalandhar, SGGSWU, DAV College Hoshiarpur, Eternal University, Chandigarh University, Dr. H.S. Gour Central University, Sagar etc.) joined for the workshop, which was kept totally free for the participants, were benefited through this workshop. Dr. Chaurasia enlightened the participants during the first session about possible theoretical concepts about the topic, its significance and benefits. In second session, he practically made aware the participants with hand-on procedure in making bonsai and side-by-side discussed about the necessary precautions required during its creation. Workshop was organized by EU-Botanical Society, Department of Botany, Eternal University, Baru-Sahib (Himachal Pradesh) under the blessings of honourable Vice-Chancellor Dr. Davinder Singh and leadership of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia. It was co-ordinated by Dr P.K. Singh and Ms. Pallavi of the Department of Botany, Eternal University, Baru-Sahib (H.P.).Gallery
