Awareness and Cleanliness Drive”

The Akal College of Economics, Commerce and Management, Eternal University, Baru Sahib organized an “Awareness and Cleanliness Drive” on September 12, 2023, in Khairi market near Baru Sahib, District Sirmour (H.P). The objective of this programme was to create awareness among local people and business community regarding the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Young faculty of the college comprising Mr. Pawan Dubey, Dr. Ankit Pathania, Ambar Srivastava and Dr Neha Garg planned this activity. More than 50 UG and PG students of the college along with faculty reached the place and performed cleaning of pathways and adjoining areas. Awareness rally was also organized and Nukkad Natak was performed to raise awareness of Swachhta. In the end, the students urged the local people and business community to spend at least one hour a week to keep their premises neat and clean and took a pledge to keep the surroundings clean. The organizers expressed thanks to Dr. Davinder Singh, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. S K Chauhan, Dean, ACECM, faculty members and all the local participants.
