The Department of Microbiology organized an informative and engaging event on November 21, 2024, to raise awareness about the growing global threat of antimicrobials and antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Aimed at educating both faculty and students, the event featured expert talks, interactive sessions, and informative displays that highlighted the causes, consequences, and prevention of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Participants were encouraged to adopt responsible antibiotic usage and hygiene practices. The event emphasized the urgent need for collective action in combating antibiotic resistance and fostering a deeper understanding of its implications on public health, clinical treatments, and future research within the academic community.
