Brief description: Students enrolled in the Skill Enhancement Course (Solid Waste Management) visited the Biogas Plant and Vermicomposting Unit of Eternal University. The visit enabled them to observe the operational components of biogas generation, including waste feeding, anaerobic digestion, and gas collection. Students also examined the vermicomposting setup and learned about the role of earthworms in producing nutrient-rich compost. The activity offered hands-on experience in eco-friendly waste management strategies.

Outcomes of the Program:

  • Students learned the practical processes involved in biogas production and vermicomposting.
  • They developed an understanding of the environmental and economic benefits of organic waste utilization.
