World Consumer Rights Day – 2022 “Fair Digital Finance”
The World Consumer Right Day was celebrated in the Akal College of Economics, Commerce and Management (ACECM) on 10th and 11th, March 2022 with zeal and enthusiasm. The theme of the event was "Fair Digital Finance". Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Eternal University Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia was the chief guest on this occasion. The event was organized under the guidance of Dean, ACECM, Prof. S.K. Chauhan. The activities commenced from 10th March with Quiz competition and Essay writing Competition and on 11th of March Poster presentation, Individual Presentation and Extempore speech was conducted.
Dr. S.K. Chauhan (Advisor) of the event welcomed the chief guest and introduced about the event. He appreciated the participation of the students and also praised the efforts made by the organizing committee members and other faculty members of the college. One student of Commerce Department (Bharti) sung welcome song.
Prof. A.S. Ahluwalia gave his guest remarks on the event and deliberated on the rights and responsibilities of consumers.
Mr. Amit Kumar (convener) announced the winners of different activities, chief guest and Dean (ACECM) gave the certificate to the winners. The first prize in the poster presentation was won by Ms. Aakansha (Economics Department) and the winner of the extempore speech was Ms. Jasleen Kaur (Economics Department). Ms. Tanisha Thakur, Bhawana Shankhyan and Sonaver Kaur (as team) stood first in Quiz Competition while Ms. Bhuvi (Commerce Department) was awarded for best individual presentation. Ms. Jasleen Kaur (Economics Department) secured first position in essay writing competition.
At the end of the event, the vote of thanks speech was made by Mr. Amit Kumar. He expressed heartiest thanks to chief guest, Dean, team members (Mr. Ambar Srivastava and Ms. Kuldeep Kaur), faculty members, participants and students for being part of the event.
