Most of the elders are nowadays staying alone in view of nuclear family norms. There is a paucity of trained care givers in this field. Geriatric care helps senior citizens to manage their overall health and well being as well as to maintain their independence for as long as possible. After successful completion of this course the student will be able to perform various skills required for geriatgric care in Old age homes, Nursing homes and Individual households. There is immense scope of employment for them.
