Kalgidhar Trust is a premier organization of universal brotherhood, was the main force behind the mission of “Removal of Economic Backwardness through Technology”. With this mission, Akal college of Engineering & Technology was established in 2007. The Trust deed was registered on 24th February 1986 with a commitment by The Kalgidhar Society & Trust to uplift the vast weaker section of Indian polity comprising Rural India by admitting most of students every year from Rural Areas. A Gurukul of modern technical education has well-established departments of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Food Engineering & Technology. In addition, the Institute also has departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Management & Humanities. The refreshing shades create an environment that gives the human spirit true comfort. Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) is a centre of excellence providing in-depth technical knowledge and opportunities for innovation and research with up-to-date computer facilities. Department offers B.Tech, M.Tech & Ph.D programs only for girls students supporting Woman Empowerment Mission to support needy, under privileged girls of remote villages. The study of Computer Science within a liberal arts environment hones students' skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and clear and concise communication. Developing these skills creates students well prepared for graduate and also employment in industry. It emphasizes the need for independent thinking and encourages students to get involved in interesting and novel projects. By educating students to think conceptually, we are preparing them to adapt to developments in the dynamic field. The recently revised curriculum has reduced course load and greater emphasis on practical exposure that gives the students sufficient freedom to choose courses with emphasis on a particular area of computer science.

Besides imparting theoretical knowledge, a lot of stress is laid on hands-on training and overall, development of the individual’s personality. The teaching programs have been devised keeping in view close interaction with the industry. The competence of the department is reflected in the growing demand for its fresh graduates.

Students are encouraged to come up with ideas on their own and the department provides all the facilities required to materialize those ideas into actual projects. The number of recruiting companies has multiplied many fold in the last few years. A few alumni of the department are offering their expertise in the US, Canada, Australia & many more software companies like MICROSOFT, SEAGATE etc. The department strongly believes that neither the industry, nor the academics alone have the resources to adequately deal with the quest for innovative excellence in this field of computers, for global competitiveness. Hence the Institute-Industry interface programs enable the students to interact constantly with the industries. Equal importance is given to the classroom learning which is meant primarily for the theoretical or conceptual inputs of knowledge on a variety of projects.

The booming IT sector in India presents large-scale job opportunities for fresh computer science graduates. With the evolution of newer technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, IoT, etc., the scope of computer science engineering has grown in leaps and bounds. Students get attractive job offers from diverse MNCs & IT companies. Career in CSE is considered one of the most high-paying jobs and is imbued with opportunities; particularly in an era where India’s prowess in information technology industry is recognized globally. Computer engineers have a range of options to work in IT companies in departments such as design, development, assembly, manufacture and maintenance, etc.

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) is a discipline which uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop components, devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. ETE is one of the innovator department of Akal College of Engineering & Technology which was established in the year 2007 and has excelled in the past 13 years. Electronics Engineers develop new products, specify precise functional requirements, design and test components, produce a final design and evaluate that design’s cost, safety, reliability and effectiveness.

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at Eternal University is involved in providing quality education at B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D levels for girl students from different sections of the society. The course curriculum are continuously updated with major emphasis on advanced technology with training certification besides on industrial visits. The curriculum is emphasized on the development of recent technical and communication skills for suitable placement of our engineers in India and abroad. The Department also provides research facilities with the latest journals and encourages students to do research in the upcoming areas. The department has experienced and dedicated faculty, with a strong commitment to engineering education and who work with zeal and enthusiasm to provide a vibrant and optimum learning environment to the students in order to help them excel in today’s competitive environment.

The faculty members also have research collaboration with universities in India for joint research work. Many established alumni of the department are providing their expertise in USA, UK, Canada, Australia and other European countries. The pass-out students are working in Indian Air Force, BSNL, Nokia, HCL, HP state Electricity board, Reliance Jio, Airtel, Punjab and Punjab and Sind Bank, SBI, Canara bank, UCO bank and many other reputed companies. The department has established many state of the art laboratories such as telecommunication networks lab, optical fibre communication, VLSI design lab, microwave engineering lab, consumer electronics lab, microcontroller, embedded systems lab, electrical machines lab etc.


Coruse & Eligibility
B.Tech. CSE (4 yrs.) 30 On the basis of JEE (Main) with 15% marks for general category and 10% marks for reserved category or HPCET with 20% marks for general category and 15% marks for reserved category or on the basis of 10+2 examination with 45% marks.
B.Tech. CSE Lateral (3 yrs.) 06 Passed diploma from an AICTE recognized institution with at least 45% marks for general category in appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology or passed B.Sc. degree from recognized university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks and passed 10+2 examination with mathematics as a subject.
B.Sc. IT (3 yrs.) 30 10+2 or equivalent examination with English as a compulsory subject having minimum 45% marks.
M.Tech. CSE 05 Admission to the M.Tech. Degree shall be made on the basis of valid GATE score or HPCET with 20% marks or B.E./B.Tech. with 50% marks in relevant field.
Ph.D. CSE 03 M.Tech. in CSE with 55% marks and at least 50% marks in the Eternal University Entrance Examination.
