M.Sc. Chemistry

Course Overview

M.Sc. Chemistry is two year postgraduate program in divergent research fields of chemistry. In the Master's Program, approximately 20-25 credits are present per week as a teaching workload. The PG students are provided with inclusive, completely and skill based knowledge in core areas such as inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, physical inorganic chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, physical organic chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry, advanced analytical chemistry, optical spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, polymer chemistry and nanomaterials for their applications in current research fields. Dept. of Chemistry has the capacity of 15 seats for Masters Course per year. More interestingly, the department is not only providing novel teaching methodologies but also encouraging the students into the research field’s right from the beginning like international procedures. As a result, more than 25 master students have been completed their thesis so far under the valuable guidance of eminent faculty members in a variety of research fields. Noteworthy, students are also getting wonderful opportunity for to pursue their project work in reputed and well-established laboratories across the country for the unexplored exploration in respective fields.
