Akal College of Arts & Social Sciences

The Akal College of Arts and Social Sciences was established to promote ideals as enunciated by our founder Saint, Sant Attar Singh Ji. He said, “Students must engage themselves in right earnest to the task of getting the required knowledge, both spiritual and worldly so as to become the messengers of peace and spiritual brother-hood; imbued with love and compassion they should serve the downtrodden and the neediest of the needy and thereby help in establishing permanent peace in the world”.

All the four departments under ACA&SS have well-defined and articulated learning objectives which are important because they provide students with a clear purpose to focus their learning efforts and to direct their choice of instructional activities. The departments offer a dynamic, interactive education environment that engages students in the learning process; provide constructive feedback to promote student self- assessment and motivation through student-mentor system; provide clear learning outcomes, detailed instruction, and assessment for all courses to ensure course mastery and student success and through language lab. The College uses technology to create effective modes and means of instructions that expand access to learning.
