University Workshop

Engineering Workshop was established in 2007 when engineering college was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Minister HP along with Baba Iqbal Singh ji & Padam Shri Dr Khem Singh Gill (Ex-VC PAU Ludhiana) in size of approx. 4000 sq/ft area. There are total 6 shops in the workshops. It is compulsory for all Under Graduate Students to attend workshop specially Engineering students. Master Students of Renewable energy uses the workshop for their projects details of various shops having sufficient numbers of equipment’s & tools are as following:

  • Machine Shop:
    6 Lathe Machines, 1 Shaper Machine, 1 Power Saw Machine, End Less Girding Machine, Pillar Type Drilling Machine
  • Fitting Shop:
    Surface Plates-2, Angle Plates-02, Piller Type Drill Machine-01, End Less Girding Machine-01, Anvil Stand-01
  • Carpentry Shop:
    Wooden Lathe Machine, Wooden Power Saw,
  • Welding Shop:
    Arc Welding Machines-03, Spot Welding, MIG Welding Machine, TIG Welding Machine, Gas Welding Set, Hand Sharing Cutting Machine, Bench Sharing Cutting Machine.
  • Smithy Shop:
    Furnace (open Earth)-02, Anvil stand-04, Swag Block-02
  • Foundry Shop:
    Sand Muller Machine, Green Sand, Crisibals

Beginning with the Industrial Revolution era, a workshop may be a room, rooms or building which provides both the area and tools (or machinery) that may be required for the manufacture or repair of manufactured goods. Workshops were the only places of production until the advent of industrialization and the development of larger factories. In the 20th and 21st century, many Western homes contain a workshop in the garage, basement, or an external shed. Home workshops typically contain a workbench, hand tools, power tools and other hardware.The following workshops impart practical education to the students of the college.
